The hospital`s organization is divided into three blocks. The first, with a slope and accessed through the service courtyard, adapts to the site’s topography. The second block houses outpatient and technical medical areas, easily accessible to the public and considered the heart of the hospital. Access to these services is via a large plaza designed to welcome users. The third block, with multiple levels, is reserved for inpatient care and is volumetrically distinct from the base.
The project aim to integrate the green environment and landscaping into its therapeutic function. Therefore, it incorporates both exterior and interior gardens and a therapeutic roof that contribute to the physical and mental well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
The project is based on creating perspectives and transparency through the interaction of built and landscape elements, and on a landscape design that contributes to the functional management of spaces, creating buffer zones, through courtyards and gardens, between the different sections of the hospital.
