CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION

Construction supervision in hospital architecture is a task that becomes increasingly complex due to the involvement of additional factors and stakeholders that add difficulty to the hospital project. In the craft of building, knowledge of the construction industry is essential, constantly assessing the boundary between possibilities and limitations. Defending the project and ensuring that it is buildable and durable, while maintaining a high standard of quality, is an intense and demanding task that accompanies the project management team throughout the entire construction process.

With active experience on construction sites since Planho’s beginnings, we know that a large part of success lies in building a team from the outset, with each party recognising its role and permanently defending quality standards that meet the demands of hospital architecture, joining forces to move in the same direction towards the successful completion of the works.

In addition, in the case of refurbishment and extension works in existing hospitals, the process becomes even more complex, as construction must be made compatible with the continuity of healthcare activity. At Planho, we call this “the project within the project” of hospital architecture. These are interventions with which we are highly familiar, and they require phased execution planning that must not compromise the final solution.

At Planho, we accompany the works through to the successful completion of the final stage, linked to the technical, legal and administrative procedures with the various companies and public authorities involved. We also manage the subsequent relationship with the client during the quality period, offering our collaboration to help ensure that the hospital functions properly.
