The Oriente Regional Hospital of Zacapa is an orderly and modular building with 5 floors. The construction has a series of courtyards that allow all the facades to have natural lighting and ventilation. It is a specialized hospital with a wide portfolio of services, organized in a repetitive scheme of 4 rectangular volumes connected at their ends through a first public corridor (outpatient and visits) on one side and a second public private corridor (clinical and services) in the other.

Functionally, the building is arranged based on a very clear circulation scheme, which respects current accessibility regulations under universal accessibility criteria. It has a lobby in which there is a reception, control and attention area for members and visitors. This space allows the comfortable, fluid and practically intuitive circulation of the user to the entire outpatient area, in addition to allowing comfortable access and in due safety conditions to the bed-in units for visitors (public axis).
